After what feels like an eternity of winter (and I missed a couple of months of it in Australia!), spring has finally arrived in New York. The last couple of weeks have been spectacular, with the magnolias, cherries, pears and dogwoods all blooming, and spring bulbs popping up everywhere you look. Already a lot of the blossoms have finished and the temperatures are rising, so it feels like spring is almost giving way to summer before we even got a chance to enjoy it…
Luckily last week a friend and I took a wander through the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to make the most of it before it disappeared, and it was truly magical. I love the fun times of summer here, and winter has its charms, too, but spring and autumn are really where New York shines!
