Last weekend James and I headed to Storm King Art Center, about an hour or so upstate of NYC, for our sixth wedding anniversary. Storm King is an amazing, vast sculpture park and we had already visited in summer but I was excited to see it in all its autumnal glory. We managed to catch it at that perfect point where every colour from green to yellow to orange to red to brown is spattered across the leaves and it was magical! We’d packed a picnic from home and ate it nestled amongst fiery trees and incredible sculpture. We were also lucky enough to catch the end of the Zhang Huan exhibition there (images 1 & 12 above), which was amazing. My absolute favourite, though, is Andy Goldsworthy’s Five Men, Seventeen Days, Fifteen Boulders, One Wall (you can see part of it in image 6 above). Storm King is definitely one of my favourite places to visit from NYC and I already can’t wait to go back!
