Last week I taught a kokedama workshop at the beautiful Taproot Flowers studio in Crown Heights. Thanks so much to everyone who came along and to Rachel for hosting me! I have some more workshops coming up there this coming weekend so check out the Taproot website for all the details.
can I have some more info on how to make these kokedama, which ingredients are needed? thank you very much!x
Hi Patsy!
I posted a how-to back here: https://givemakewrap.com/2013/04/07/grow-kokedama/
You can substitute peat moss (available at hardware & plant stores) for clay. Enjoy!

About 6 months ago I made my first kokedamas and they are alive and kicking! great stuff, I still follow your site and look at the new ideas… in about 6 months from now im starting a little shop of my own with all these new gorgeous little ideas, in Belgium…. I really appreciate your e mails… please don’t stop sending and I will keep you posted…. eventually with some photos… but for now its still a little precious secret…. sooo exiting!
Hi Patsy! That’s really wonderful! I’m so happy to hear that you have had success with your kokedama and enjoy my ideas. Hopefully one day I will make it to Belgium and get to visit your shop! In the mean time, best of luck with it all.
