Last weekend James and I headed to the coast, to a beautiful spot called Depot Beach. Our campsite was deep in the bush, but just across the road from the beach.
Depot Beach is in the Murramarang National Park, and the bush here is quite rainforest-like, with ferns and huge vines.
The forest goes right down to the beach, which is quite spectacular. There are remarkable volcanic-like rocks forming a plateau under the water, which meant we could walk out a long way with the water only coming up to our ankles.
The weather wasn’t exactly beach friendly, but on the second day we did have a quick, icy swim! It was just so lovely a beach, it seemed like the right spot for the first swim of the season.
If you’ve just come over from the Mr Sparrow blog, welcome! I hope you’ll enjoy following my inspirations and ideas in this new spot š
